In mid-May, a promotional VIP tour to India was held for agents of the Russian Express tour operator. In two weeks, the group inspected the best hotels in the country, managed to stay in seven of them, enjoyed relaxation treatments, the white marble Taj Mahal and even attended an Indian wedding. DELHI, UDAIPUR AND AGRA
In Delhi, the travel agents visited one of the largest mosques in India — the Jama Masjid and the snow—white Sikh temple – Gurudwara. Inside it there is a pool with carp, where, according to legend, you can “wash away your sins.” Some even plunged headlong.
The next destination was Udaipur, where the group reached in an hour on an Air India flight. Due to the many lakes, this city is often called the “Indian Venice”, there is the largest concentration of luxury hotels in the country. The travel agents visited the Saheliyo ki Bari Garden, a popular vacation spot for court ladies in the past.
Among the best hotels in Udaipur is The Leela Palace Udaipur, a palace on a lake with enchanting sunsets and live national music. Raffles Udaipur Resort is an estate in classic European style with a rose garden. And at the Taj Lake Palace hotel, a James Bond film was shot.
In the next city, Jaipur, travel agents visited the Taj Ram Bagh Palace hotel. This is the former residence of the king, on the territory of which about a hundred peacocks walk freely. Then the group on elephants went up to Amber Fort, a huge sand—colored fortress-palace. You can imagine at once in what luxury and beauty the rajahs lived!
Then the way lay to Agra, to one of the eight wonders of the world — the Taj Mahal. And in the evening, a real Indian wedding was waiting for the travel agents at the hotel — the bride and groom were happy to take pictures with the group.
The second part of the trip was held in a relaxing format. In the hotels Ananda In The Himalayas and Six Senses Vana participants the tour conducted a check-up and assigned individual programs. Basically, it was a relaxing massage, acupuncture and the Japanese watsu procedure, which takes place in the pool and immerses the child in the state.
